Behind the scenes
1. Preparation
Upload your film list and the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) copies of your films to the Digititle cloud.
Once the DCP is received, Digititle will collaborate with your translator or perform high-quality translations into the required languages, creating subtitle files compatible with the screener. The subtitles are fully synchronized with the master film copy and stored securely on the cloud server.
If the films are encrypted, send the KDM (Key Delivery Message) to the Digititle server for 48 hours to enable subtitle synchronization.

2. Installation
Digititle’s technical support team will set up the subtitle software on a computer provided by the client. The team will connect the DCP server to the computer, link the subtitle projector, and establish a cloud connection for accessing subtitles (an internet connection is required). This setup is only required once per screening hall.
Subtitle display options:
a. If the hall has a retractable screen, the subtitles can be projected directly on the film’s screen.
b. If the screen is fixed and the film fills the entire screen area, Digititle will provide a dedicated subtitle screen to be placed below the existing screen.

3. Operation
When the DCP “Play” button is pressed, the Digititle™ subtitle player automatically detects the film, loads the correct subtitle file, and displays the subtitles in perfect sync.
The software can also display promos, advertisements, and trailers before the film starts. Subtitles for the main film will appear automatically when it begins.

4. Maintenance
The Digititle™ system is highly reliable, but if any issues arise, we offer 24/7 remote support – no need to wait for an on-site technician. The system doesn’t require special hardware and will keep working even if you replace parts or the entire computer.
